Rakhi Sawant gets friendly with ex-beau Abhishek Awasthi

First, Rakhi Sawant wasn’t even ready to talk to her ex-beau Abhishek Awasthi; now she is not only talking to him but both are dancing together. Good dancing times are back, thanks to the new show ‘Zara Nachke Dikha’.

Though Rakhi and Abhishek represent two different groups in the show, on Sunday they shot together for a performance. The episode which is yet to air has brought Rakhi-Abhishek on the same platform. And as sources tell a daily, “They danced together after which Rakhi said that Abhishek is the best partner she has ever had.”

The duo broke up approximately two years back and was not on talking terms since then. Both make an amazing dancing jodi and were also one of the top finalists in the show ‘Nach Baliye’. In fact, seeing both of them dancing together after such a long time, Abhishek’s mother who was present on the sets became very happy.

Rakhi even apologized for once hurting her and said about Abhishek, “We are friends again.”

A source said that Rakhi became emotional and made a public apology to Abhishek’s mother who was present on the sets for the mother’s special episode shoot. Rakhi even hugged her.

I won't expose any more : Rakhi sawant

I won't expose any more : Rakhi sawant

After entertaining us with last year's shows Rakhi Ka Swayamwar and Pati Patni Aur Woh, the diva will be seen in the second season of Star Plus' Zara Nachke Dikha where the women have been pitted against the men on the dance floor.

According to Rakhi, she's happy to be back, in part because she gets "positive energy" from dancing.

Read on as she talks about the show, why she won't expose and her new show on the life of Jesus Christ. Excerpts:

Why another reality show?

Dance is my passion. It's in my blood. God has filled me with enormous talent. I have returned to a dance reality show after three years. This will be my sixth reality show.

I've always loved being part of dance reality shows. When I did Nach Baliye, we followed a different style of dancing, which became popular. And people started following us after that.

This time also I plan to do something different, and I know people will follow this too. You all know that wherever I go, I make history. I am going to repeat it with Zara Nachke Dikha

Ganga kinare wala Manmohan Tiwari was ready to marry Rakhi

Ganga kinare wala Manmohan Tiwari was ready to marry Rakhi

The Ganga kinare wala, as he came to be known on Rakhi Ka Swayamvar is quite open about the fact that he considered the show as a stepping stone into the world of acting, something that has come true with the show Jamunia. “But why is the finger being pointed at me? Even Rakhi was playing a game and if she was not questioned, then why me? She fooled 16 men but thankfully God spared me,” he says. But what if the item girl had actually gone ahead and selected him as her pati? “Toh hum shaadi kar lete. Then I would have taken her to Bihar with me, seen if she is able to milk cows, make dungcakes and if she would be able to take care of my parents. If she would have been able to do all that for two months, then I would have been with her all her life,” he adds.

And what would he say to her if he came across her, considering they both are in the TV industry now? He laughs, “Kya kahenge? Jai Ram Ji Ki kahenge!”

Rakhi Sawant threatens to go on hunger strike

Rakhi Sawant threatens to go on hunger strike

"I'll wait for a week and then I go on a 'bhookh hartaal' in front of the censor office," Rakhi shared.

The always-in-the-news actress said: "Fearlessly I've sent a legal notice to the censor board. This is the first time something like this has happened. Others do chamchagiri of the censor board. Not me. I'm Rakhi Sawant. Main ishwar ki beti hoon (I'm god's daughter).

"The censor board has done me injustice by deleting the word 'kameeni' from my song. I won't take it lying down. Dharmendra has been saying the word 'kameeney' for years. Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Kaminey' came, were the censors asleep?

"There're heroines doing love-making scenes with their bare backs showing. Bharadwaj's films invariably have characters mouthing 'maa-bahen galis'. If Rakhi Sawant sings 'Kameeni tera bhoot chad gaya re', the censor board gets stung. The song has been produced by my company Faith Inc and I'm being damaged."

The argument that the word 'kameeni' is inappropriate on television holds no water for Rakhi.

"Kyon (why)? In the trailers of 'Ishqiya', they show Vidya Balan punch-drunk on television, and that too in a sari. Is that allowed in our culture? What was 'Choli ke peeche kya hai?' If that can be aired for years, why can't my song be telecast?"

Rakhi then takes off on television serials.

"Look at serials like 'Uttaran', 'Bairi Piya' and 'Bandini'. Young girls are being shown getting raped and forced to marry underage men. Women get married repeatedly, sometimes five times. Isn't this against the Indian laws? Isn't this against Indian culture? What is the censor board doing about such practices?

"Rakhi Sawant uses the word 'kameeni' and it becomes a dirty word. In serials, we have men dragging their wives by their hair muttering 'Kameeni main tujhe chodunga nahin'. No one pays any attention. Why point a finger at me?

"Stop all the malpractice on television and I too will shut up. We live in a corrupt and hypocritical democracy where the institutions appointed to monitor morality are bribed. Producers go with bulging suitcases and get their films passed. Aisa nahin chalega (It won't work)."

Rakhi gets rid of her breast implants

Rakhi gets rid of her breast implants

Known for her antics both on the screen and off it, actress and reality show star Rakhi Sawant is in the limelight again, this time for the hot new look she’s sporting in her latest videos with rapper Ishq Bector.

And while her chiselled features and toned stomach has given rise to speculation of her going under the knife yet again, Rakhi has a different story to tell. The actress claims that not only is she “100% natural”, she has even gotten rid of the breast implants she got when she started her career.

“I had got a breast enhancement surgery at the beginning of my career — for glamour and because people suggested that I should. But I’ve removed them (the implants) now because they used to cause discomfort while dancing and even sleeping,” she says, adding, “Abhi mein totally normal aur natural hoon – na maine face ki surgery karayi hai, na aur kuch karaaya hai.”

While other actresses work on attaining a size zero figure all the time, Rakhi, who was labelled overweight during her last show, Pati, Patni aur Woh, says she can “turn size zero whenever I want”. “I did a hard workout for my videos with Ishq. I did power yoga and I got a size zero body for the time the video was being shot. I stopped eating and survived on juice. I was also size zero at the time Rakhi Ka Swayamvar was on. Whenever I have a project in hand, mein patli ho jaati hoon aur project khatm ho jaata hai toh mein normal khaana khaane lagti hoon.”

Rakhi, who is not on talking terms with her mother, says she will patch up is she goes in for another swayamvar, something she is extremely keen on. “Elesh (her ex beau) didn’t have the means to support himself, and was even in a debt of Rs 50 lakh. I had gone to marry him, but he wanted to use me and get publicity. Does he need a wife or a secretary? But this time, my mother will look for a groom for me. I will patch up with her for that. Main channel pe vishwaas karke dhokha kha chuki hoon ek baar.”
